Google Pixel Tablet May Use Tensor G2 chipset

Google has been teasing the launch of the first Pixel tablet since I/O 2022. Several rumors suggest that purchasers can use this tablet as a smart display for Google Assistant when it becomes available to the public. The first-ever Pixel tablet will also showcase the large-screen features that Google has developed with the launch of Android 12L. According to the claims, this will be the tablet’s primary function.
Previous rumors said that Google was working on a “Pro” version of the Pixel Tablet (which was rumored to be given the codename “Tangorpro”) in addition to the regular gadget (which carries the codename “Tangor”). A recent breakthrough in the industry has answered the enigma surrounding the purported “Pixel Tablet Pro”. It is predicted that Google will unveil the tablet in May during the annual I/O conference that the firm hosts.

Google Pixel Tablet: Expectations

Some new details about Google’s next tablet have been discovered online, and they come from a series of tweets posted by an Android researcher named Kuba Wojciechowski. 9to5 Google observed these tweets. According to Wojciechowski, who cites a source that has yet to be identified, the most significant difference between the Tangor and Tangorpro versions of the Pixel Tablet is that the Tangor variation of the tablet was tested using the original Tensor chip. In contrast, the Pro model is anticipated to use the most recent Tensor G2 chip. This information was gleaned from a source that has yet to be identified. Tensor G2 chips power the 2022 Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones.

According to Wojciechowski, there is a possibility that Company will never release the “Tangor” version of the original Pixel Tablet. The firm will almost certainly distribute the supposed “Pro” model under Pixel Tablet. The “Pro” classification won’t be included. The report from 9to5 Google also suggests that Google planned to start selling the Pixel Tablet in 2022, but the company decided to postpone the release to improve the hardware. Additionally, several images of the Pixel Tablet and its dock may be found in Wojciechowski’s tweets.

The much-anticipated capabilities of the Pixel Tab

Additionally, Wojciechowski has provided additional information regarding the Google Pixel Tablet. The product will presumably have 8 gigabytes of RAM, 256 gigabytes of storage, and a Tensor G2 CPU. The tablet may have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 2560 by 1600 pixel display, according to the source.
Earlier in 2022, there were whispers that Google was working on two docks for the Pixel Tablet, which were being developed under the codenames “Korlan” and “Yuzu.” The source claims that Google has yet to make plans to change its intention to offer both docks. In addition, it mentions the possibility that the final Pixel tablet will be compatible with either of the options above. According to the study’s findings, there are no other differences between the two docks.
