Mission Majnu, Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Releases on Netflix Today: Details

Mission Majnu, the first major release from Netflix India since 2022, premieres throughout the world today, on January 20. The espionage thriller, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna, will premiere on Netflix at 12:30 p.m. EST on March 1 and will be available for instant viewing through streaming or downloading via the Netflix app on compatible devices or online. In this film, which claims to be based on true events, Malhotra portrays a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) official from the 1970s who goes undercover in Pakistan to investigate the country’s nuclear weapons development.

Mission Majnu Releases on Netflix Today: Details

In actuality Parmeet Sethi also plays Rameshwar Nath Kao, the Indian spymaster who oversaw RAW from its formation in 1968 until his retirement in 1977, in the upcoming film. Besides Ashwath Bhatt, Kumud Mishra, and Zakir Hussain, Mission Majnu also features the directorial debut of Shantanu Bagchi.

Mission Majnu may be seen in up to Ultra-HD quality and Dolby Vision format, depending on your Netflix membership. Prices for a Netflix membership in India start at Rs. 149 per month for the mobile-only plan and go up to Rs. 649 per month for the premium plan, which supports streaming on four screens in Ultra-HD and HDR.

A slew of other highly-anticipated Netflix releases—including the Korean film Mission, the fourth season of the Israeli comedy Fauda, and the New York instalment of Bling Empire—all debut today. Netflix co-founder and long-time CEO Jung E. Reed Hastings said in a separate statement that he would be moving into the role of executive chairman.
